George Williams says that he will “100 %” complete “with Warrington Wolfs – but he is not sure whether he will remain in the club in 2026 in the interest of NRL.
Williams, captain of the Wrington and England team, played in the Australian system with Canberra Raiders over 2020 and 2021 and was linked to the return.
The former player’s contract with wolves expires at the end of the next season and he must decide whether a second period in the southern hemisphere is “itching to scratch them.”
Talk to Sky Sports After Warrington won 24-10 at home, Hal Hall on Saturday, Williams said: “There was a lot of talk during the week, but there is nothing big for that.
There is little interest (from NRL) and I will be stupid for not listening to – at the age
Williams is not sure whether he will be in Warrington next season
“Warrington was great and I was respectful for them and what it would be.
“I am not very sure (if I will be here next season). I’m committed to the team, I am the club’s captain. I will complete 100 percent this season.”
Warrington’s victory over Hull came after winning four defeats in five, which led to their ambitions in the intense qualifiers, although Saturday’s victory means that the wire is now only three points from the first six.
Williams added: “Our goals since the beginning of the season have now decreased,” Williams added.
“We did not get a large group of games, but our goal is the first six. We have to win the majority of our remaining matches.”
