Three Palestinians were killed after they died after dozens of Israeli settlers from a Palestinian village in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian authorities said.
Video footage from Kafr MalikNear Ramallah, Wednesday night showed a car and a house on fire and the Palestinians running away when he hears the shooting.
The Israeli army said that the forces deployed at the scene of the accident found settlers and villagers throwing stones on each other. He added that many “terrorists” opened the fire and threw stones at the forces, who re -fire and set the visits. They also arrested five Israelis.
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the settlers shot the villagers in their homes during what they called “their terrorist attack.”
The ministry also said that the Israeli forces prevented the ambulances from reaching the wounded firefighters granted from entering the village for several hours.
Israel has built about 160 settlements, including about 700,000 Jews since it occupied the West Bank and East Jerusalem – the Palestinians want lands, along with Gaza, for a vibrant future state – in the Middle East war in 1967. It is estimated at 3.3 million Palestinians living alongside them.
The vast majority of the international community considers that the settlements are illegal under international law – a position supported by an advisory opinion in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) last year – although Israel opposes this.
Soon after the accident in Kafr Malik, there was another attack in the Palestinian community in Dar Al -Faza, near the village of Taybeh.
The Israeli Human Rights Group in Teslim said that three people were injured and became three cars. CCTV shots have been published showing a group of at least 10 masked men igniting one car on fire and throwing stones.
Palestinian Vice President Hussein Al -Sheikh wrote on X. “The violence of the settler and the agitation, under the protection of the occupation army, is a political decision by the Israeli government, which is implemented by settlers.”
“The behavior of the Israeli government and its decisions pushing the region towards an explosion. We call on the international community to intervene urgently to protect our Palestinian people.”
There was a sharp increase in the number and intensity of settlers’ attacks in the West Bank since Hamas’s attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023, which sparked the war in Gaza.
The United Nations recorded 487 attacks by settlers, which led to victims or property damage in the first four months of this year, including 122 in April. It was reported that at least 181 Palestinians were injured by settlers in the attacks.
Human rights organizations and witnesses say that the Israeli army and police are often standing as settlers attack Palestinian cities and villages.
The expansion of the settlement also increased sharply, as a right -wing coalition, in support of the rubber headed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, took office in late 2022.
I have so far decided to establish 49 new settlements and start the legalization process for seven settlement sites that were built without the government’s permission, according to the peaceful peace peace that is against settlement now.
Last month, the Israeli ministers said that 22 new settlements were approved through the length and width of the West Bank, and they voiced this as a step that “prevents the establishment of a Palestinian state that exposes Israel to danger.”
In a separate incident on Wednesday, a 15 -year -old Palestinian boy was shot and killed by Israeli forces in Yamoun, near Jenin, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said.
The Israeli army said that the “terrorists” threw the explosive services to its forces during an operation in the Yamoun. After that, they approached during the additional explosives and forces that responded by opening the fire.
The United Nations says that at least 949 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank since October 7, 2023, when the Israeli forces have increased their raids through the region, saying that they are trying to stop the deadly Palestinian attacks on the Israelis.
In January, Israeli forces launched a widespread operation against Palestinian armed groups in the northern West Bank.
The head of the United Nations Human Rights said in April that the entire operation destroyed refugee camps and temporary medical sites, and explained more than 40,000 Palestinians, who were told not to return to their homes for a year.
