Blue diamond farmers will close the pioneering Sacramento processing factory, which will lead to the loss of about 600 jobs in the region. The 115 -year -old company blames maintenance costs and continuous efficiency of closure.
The company will unify the manufacturing business in its current facilities at Turlock and Salida, which is located in the Central California Valley.
“Our Sacramento team’s work ethics and the amazing drive enabled us to build diamond blue in what it is today,” CEO and President Kay Bokman ABC News said.
“However, the challenges of managing a manufacturer of these historical buildings have become very expensive and ineffective. Simplification of our manufacturing factories is the right commercial step.”
Founded in 1910, Blue Diamond has long been a basic player in the agricultural sector in California. Meanwhile, the cooperative provides separation packages and support for transportation and incentives to 600 employees to assist in the transfer.
Despite the company’s assurances, the closure raised concerns about the ability of Sacramento to support major companies.
“The guide is dessert,” Sanjay Farchni, Professor of Finance at the Sacramento State University, told ABC News.
“Blue Diamond Walking Away is just another sign of something wrong with how we are working here.”
Varshney was martyred at the high cost of SARARARENTO for living, the exhausting organizational environment and the unrealistic conditions of business as a major deterrent. He rejected the idea that international trade or customs tariffs were the main causes of closure.
