In this episode, Ken Roth, former CEO of Human Rights Watch, held an interview with Farsha Gandicotta Nilutla on the extent of the global south’s impact on the global order and whether he could exert any pressure on the international theater.
Versha Gandikota-Nellutla is the general coordinator of Progressive International, a research tank that works to unify, organize and mobilize progressive powers all over the world.
She is also one of the founders and executive secretary of the Hague Group, and it is an alliance of nations from the global south that was formed in January 2025 to support the provisions of the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court in relation to Israel and the balls, and “stand together to defend the principles of justice, equality and human rights.”
Among the group measures taken by the group is to close its ports to ships that carry weapons or fuel to Israel and commit to honoring international detention orders.
