The European Union diplomatic audit report, which was seen by Reuters and Agence France Presse, looked at the actions of Israel in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

There are indications that Israel may have violated its human rights obligations under the conditions of an agreement that govern its relations with the European Union, and also shows the review of the agreement.

According to the European Union document, which was seen by Reuters and Agence France -Presse on Friday, the European Foreign Labor Service said that Israel’s actions in Gaza are probably not in line with the rules stipulated in the European Union Association for Israel.

“On the basis of the assessments conducted by independent international institutions … there are indications that Israel will be in violation of its human rights obligations,” I read the scrutiny of the diplomatic service of the European Union.

The report comes after months of deep attention in European capitals on Israel’s operations in Gaza and the humanitarian situation in the pocket.

She said: “Israel’s continuous restrictions on providing food, medicines, medical equipment and other vital supplies affect all Gaza population on the affected lands.”

The document includes a department dedicated to the situation in Gaza – covering issues related to denial of humanitarian aid, attacks that have a large number of losses, attacks on medical facilities, displacement, and accountability – as well as the situation in the occupied West Bank, including settler violence.

The document said that it depends on “the facts verified by independent international institutions and the assessments it conducted, with a focus on the latest events in Gaza and the West Bank.”

The audit was launched last month in response to the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza, in a backed batch of 17 states and led by the Netherlands.

Kaja Callas, the best European Union diplomat, is expected to present the results of the report to the foreign ministers in Brussels on Monday.

European Union Agreement for Israel

According to the European Union agreement of Israel, which came into effect in 2000, the two parties agreed that their relationship will be based on “respect for human rights and democratic principles.”

The suspension of the agreement will require a unanimous decision by members of the 27th bloc, which the diplomats said from the beginning was almost impossible.

According to Agence France -Presse, diplomats said they expect Class to suggest options for a response to the report during the upcoming foreign ministers meeting in July.

“The question is … how many member states will remain prepared to do nothing and still continue to say that it is a work as usual,” a diplomat whose name did not reveal to the news agency before the review of the review said.

They said: “It is really important not to fall into the trap of Israel to find another place.”

The European Union is the largest commercial partner in Israel, reaching 42.6 billion euros (48.2 billion dollars) in the goods that were traded in 2024. Trade in services amounted to 25.6 billion euros ($ 29.5 billion) in 2023.

Israel’s mission to the European Union was not immediately returned on Reuters request to comment on the contents of the document.
