“A dream of artificial or colonial past?”: Bathaya’s bracelet interacts sharply with the Indian English language

His position came amid a new round of the discussion caused by the observation of the Federation’s Interior Minister, Amit Shah, that English speakers in India “will be shy soon.”

In a publication on X (previously Twitter), Bhatia wrote, “An amazing plan for our leader for our nation: stop speaking English or feeling shy. Do we want to move forward or return in time? Does our children dream of space, robots and big language models – or imagine life before the British come? I am in losing words …”

In another publication, Bathaya added, “The universe restores what it offers – this is the vine. I am very grateful for what the British left: language, education, infrastructure, and judgment. Thanks to that, I can come to the United States, excel, and live my dream. Why do you blame them instead of thanks to them?”

This observation seems to be a direct reaction to the confirmation of the Interior Minister, Al -Ittihad, Amit Shah, that “those who speak English in the country will be shy soon.” Shah’s comments came during the launch of a book, as he emphasized the priority of Indian languages ​​in preserving the national identity.

“In this country, those who speak English will soon feel shy – the creation of such a society is not far away. I think that the languages ​​of our country are the jewels of our culture. Without our languages, we stop being truly Indian,” Shah said.

He called for a cultural reclamation through the original languages, and framing the English as the remains of the colonial rule. “To understand our country, our culture, our history and our religion, no foreign language can suffice. The full idea of ​​India cannot be imagined through half -baked foreign languages,” he said.

Back to the bottom, Shah expressed his confidence that the movement to raise Indian languages ​​will succeed. “I fully realize how difficult this battle, but I am fully confident that Indian society will win it. Once, with self -esteem, we will operate our country in our languages ​​and lead the world as well.”

Amit Shah’s comments come at a time when some southern and opposition countries accused the center of Hindi, by implementing the “three language composition”, which is part of the new education policy (NEP).
