He was arrested at the age of 17 during the early days of the Civil War in Nepal in the late 1990s, and Davi Khadka was accused of being a rebel, who was tortured and raped in reservation. The rebel leaders revealed it as a “victim of rape”, and put it with the taboo that led to depression and social scourge. He fought this horror, Jadka joined the front rebel lines and rose through the ranks.

After the war ended, she was elected to the new Nepal parliament, but she was disappointed when Nepal’s leaders sought to bury the painful truth of rape in wartime.
