In the 1994 David Carson movie, “Star Trek: Generations”, Admiral Kirk (William Shatner) found himself farewell within a mysterious bond, a magic spatial phenomenon that kidnaps people and continues in a sky -like dimension. There is no meaning in Nexus, which means that people can largely eliminate it without any time in the external universe. 87 years after Kirk’s grabbing, Captain Piccard (Patrick Stewart) is also mobilized, as he lives shortly in this paradise. Picard, however, has a mission to think. He must stop a crazy scientist named Dr. Surin (Malcolm McDwell) from the destruction of a star and millions of millions. Because there is no time in Nexus, he and Kirk arrived technically at the same time. Picard Kirk is convinced to leave Nexus, and they love Dr. Surin together.

In the fight, though, Kirk takes a dilapidated platform and falls until his death. His last words to Picard are: “He was fun.” Picard is burying him under a pile of rocks, and he is supposed to leave him there to decompose.

Of course, Kirk has been revived in small and non -reproductive ways since then. in William Shatner’s 1995 novel “The Return”, Kirk’s body is located and revived by Borg, and it works under pressure from Romollan (!). Recently, the fans saw that Kirk crosses the afterlife (?) In a short, insufficient movie of 2023, entitled “765874: Tawheed”. In the same year, in an episode of “Star Trek: Picard”, he legally announced that Kirk’s body had already rescued from the planet where he died, and was taking place in cold storage at Starfleet Black secret site.

Establishing this last topic, a new comic book on IDW will again lead to the revival of James T -Kirk, this time several hundred years after the era of the “next generation”. According to a new press statement, the new story will be called “The Last Starship”.

The “Star Trek” comedy from IDW Publsting, it should be noted, is also illegal, so the “The Last Starship” is just a provocative possibility for the character. Al -Hakeli will be written by Colin Kelly and Jackson Lanzeng, and Adrian Bonella pulled it.

According to the description in the press statement, “The Last Starship” will see the Kirk corpse on Starfleet Black and somehow revived, using very advanced technology. The story was determined in the year 3069, that is, 698 years after the events of “Star Trek: Generations”. Kirk will be revived in time to watch the burn, an event shown in Season 3 of “Star Trek: Discovery”. It seems that in the year 3069, an unusual Cartim will strike at the level of the galaxy unexpectedly. Each individual championship with dealthium crystals on the plane (this means, almost all) will explode automatically. The catastrophe greatly ends in civilization as we know it, causing the fall of the union and a large -scale commercial system and based on money and slavery in its place.

The third season of “discovery” occurs about 120 years after the burning. “The Last Starship” will seem to happen directly when this happens. It is clear that Kirk will take over a new championship from the thirty -first century inhabited by all new characters. It will be the task of Kirk to understand the new future in which he finds itself, but he is also trying to keep the largest damaged union as possible.

This is an enjoyable idea. There will be strong minds after the burning, so why are James T -Kirk not? After all, we know where his body is. Certainly, by the thirtieth century, technology was developed to Frankstein to life.

Kelly, one of the book, said the following in a press release:

“The only familiar face is what you never expect to see in this era: Captain James T Kirk. (…) The iconic William Shatner performance exceeds the borders.

The authors wanted to guarantee the fans, however, that the “last championship” would not be isolated or mysterious for non -retired. Certainly, Trekkies will have a practical knowledge of “Star Trek: Generations” and “Star Trek: Picard”, and the third season of “Star Trek: Discovery”, but it seems that all basic information will be provided in Kelly and Lanzig comedies. The only thing that readers will need to know is James T. Kirk, as well as, we all know about it, right?

“The Last Starship” was first appointed on September 24, 2025. The first of a new collection of “Star Trek” is from IDW Pubishing, a line that also includes new stories inspired by “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” And “Star Trek: Voyageer.” Again, these stories are illegal, but it was always fun to speculate Trekkies about “What if?” Scenarios.
