Megha Engineering prevented bids for future bids after MMRDA canceled a tender

Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Ltd (Meil), based in Hyderabad, was published from future price offers after a collapse of the slope protection work on June 16, 2025, along the Chengla-Nilsuram section of NH-66 in Kerala state. The L&T offer was rejected during the technical evaluation phase, which led them to make an appeal to the Pombay High Court to reconsider. The petition was rejected on May 20, 2025.

Meil has been announced as a successful bid by MMRDA.

After that, L & T presented a written certificate to the Supreme Court claiming that the MEIL offer was much higher by 3100 rupees, yet they were chosen on L & T.

Upon review, the Supreme Court expressed its surprise at the alleged misuse of public funds by the Maharashtra government government and asked about the decision to grant the contract to the higher bidding.

Thus, MMRDA decided to cancel the tender on May 30.
