Behind the scenes on a tour, she talks about immigrants in the United States

Recently, she was thinking about these experiences, accepting them in America, and how this contradicts the position of the Trump administration towards immigrants.

Grammy’s acceptance of the best Latin pop album earlier this year, addressed the situation directly.

“I want to devote this award to all my brothers and sisters immigrants in this country. You are loved, you deserve it, and I will always fight with you.”

How do you feel, ask, be a migrant in the United States today?

“This means living in permanent fear,” she says. It is painful to see.

“Now, more than ever, we have to remain united. Now, more than ever, we have to raise our voices and make it clear that the country can change immigration policies, but the treatment of all people must always be humanitarian.”

It is a strong statement – it is partially speaking in Spanish, as Shakira treats her fans directly in Latin America.
