(Reuters) -Bloomberg News said on Wednesday that American granules are about to obtain a ruling from Chinese organizers to purchase Viterra, which is supported by Glencore, at a value of $ 8.2 billion with an expected ruling within days.

The integration, which was first announced in 2023, will create a global giant for crop circulation and processing closer to the size of the Archer-Daniels-Midland and Cargill competitors.

The organizational approval in China is still among the remaining obstacles to closing the deal.

Bong Wentra said in two separate statements, and likewise to Reuters that companies were in the final stage of organizational approval and thanked Chinese officials for “the constructive dialogue during the review process.”

The China Ministry of Trade did not immediately respond to Reuters request for comment.

The deal obtained most of the global approvals required for integration, including from the European Union and Canada.

The deadline for the completion, which is already scheduled in mid -2014, was extended several times, with the current date set on June 13.
