RCB raises the Karnataka Supreme Court to reject criminal charges in the Bangaluru case

Royal Challengers Sports Limited (RCSL), owner of the IPL ROYAL Challengers Bengaluu (RCB) team, transferred the Karnataka Supreme Court to the criminal charges of the tragic attack, according to the NewS18 report. DNA Entertainment Networks PVT LTD also contacted the court.

On June 4, the general celebration of the first IPL title for RCB became tragic when a stampede took place outside the M. Chinnaswamy. A large crowd gathered to celebrate the victory, but 11 people died and many were injured. In response, the flight information area was raised against RCB and DNA entertainment networks.

Bengalro police stated that the officers were focusing on the field until 5:30 am on June 4, after the final IPL victory for RCB. Police said they denied permission to celebrate the move.

“Without any official permission, on June 4, RCB announced its celebration and the procession of victory on social media and its location on the web, and inviting the fans to join. Once this news spread on TV channels and social media, we (the police) informed our senior officers and asked for the necessary security and arrangements.”

RCB moves Karnataka HC to cancel the criminal case

The investigation was delivered to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). The head of marketing and revenue at RCB, Nikhil Sosale, was placed in the judicial reservation. The Karnataka Supreme Court prevented the police from taking action against the officials of the Karnataka State Cricket Association.

RCSL moved to the Supreme Court to cancel criminal charges against her, claiming that she had been mistaken. The company stated that it had clearly contacted social media that entering the celebration event required a pre -registration, although the passes were free.

DNA entertainment networks also reported that the stampede occurred due to the lack of sufficient police outside the stadium, where the forces are concentrated near Vadana black.

In his introduction, RCSL claimed that the delay in opening the gates – from the time specified from 1:45 pm to 3:00 pm – caused a large crowd to collect each time.

RCB ended the waiting for 18 years for the Indian Premier League title by winning six runs over the Punjab kings in the 2025 final held in Ahmed Abad on June 3. This victory was the first IPL championship ever, after it fell into its previous final appearance in 2009, 2011 and 2016.
