US trade talks in the United States extended with the approaching date in July

Trade negotiations between Indian and American officials have been extended until next week, as the two sides aim to reach consensus on customs tariffs in sectors such as agriculture and cars, government officials participated with Today TV. It is now expected that the discussions, which were initially identified on 5 to 6 June, will continue until June 10, indicating progress before the deadline on July 9.

An American delegation, led by senior officials of the USA’s commercial representative office (USTR), met with Indian negotiators headed by Rajish Agrouwal in New Delhi last week. It is said that both sides are focusing on improving market access, reducing definition and non -fire barriers, and enhancing the integration of supply chain.

The current talks are part of a gradual effort to end a limited trade agreement, with hopes to avoid re -imposing mutual definitions by 26 percent on Indian exports that can take off by July 9.

Indian government officials participated in the “first engine feature” in India, and they hope that the consensus will be achieved soon.

Although there is a large -scale consensus, the United States requested the opening of trade for the agricultural and notes sectors, which can harm local farmers in India, while India may also consider a complaint from the World Trade Organization about US tariffs on steel and aluminum, as bilateral negotiations continue.

India’s exports to the United States increased by about 28 percent year on an annual basis to $ 37.7 billion in the period from January to April, in part due to an increase in shipments before the expected tariff. Imports during the same period amounted to $ 14.4 billion.
