Palestinian health and witness officials say at least five people were killed, and others were injured on Sunday by Israeli fire while they were heading about two points to distribute aid in the Gaza Strip run by an Israeli group supported by the United States. The Israeli army said it had launched warnings on the people who approached its forces.
Four bodies were transferred to Nasser Hospital in the southern city of Khan Yunis in Gaza. The Palestinian witnesses there said that the Israeli forces called them a roundabout about one kilometer from a location run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation in the nearby city of Rafah.
The Israeli army said it had launched warnings on the people who said that the suspects had advanced towards its forces and ignored the warnings to move away. He said that the shooting occurred in an area in southern Gaza is an active fighting area at night.
Meanwhile, Al -Oda Hospital said in a statement that he had received the body of a 42 -year -old man and 29 people who were injured near another GHF auxiliary point in central Gaza. The army said that it fired warning shots in the area at about 6:40 am, but he did not see any victims.
A GHF spokesman said that there was no violence in or around the distribution sites, all of which were provided on Sunday. The group temporarily closed them last week to discuss safety measures with the Israeli army and warned people not to stay on the specific access methods. The spokesperson spoke on the condition that his identity is not disclosed in line with the regulations.
Fight shooting near the new auxiliary centers
The past two weeks have witnessed a frequent shooting near the new centers, where thousands of people who are desperate Palestinians are directed to collect food. Witnesses say that the nearby Israeli forces opened fire, and more than 80 people were killed, according to Gaza Hospital officials. The Israeli army said it launched warning shots or, in some cases, near individuals approaching its forces.
Witnesses said that the shooting on Sunday in southern Gaza occurred at about 6 am, when they were told that the site would open. Many went towards him early to try to get the need to be needed before the crowds.
Adham Dahman, 30, who was in Nasser Hospital with a bandage on his chin, said that the tank shot.
“We did not know how he escaped,” he said. “This is a trap for us, not help.”
Another witness, Zahid bin Hassan, said that someone next to him was shot in the head. He said that and others pulled the body from the scene and managed to escape to the hospital.
“They said it is a safe area from 6 am until 6 pm … So why did they start shooting at us?” He said. “There was light outside, and they have their cameras and they can see us clearly.”
The army announced on Friday that the sites will be open during those hours, and that the area will be a closed military area from 6 pm until 6 am
The risk of starvation
The centers are established within the Israeli military areas – where independent media are not access to GHF, and a new group of American contractors mainly. Israel wants to replace a system of its suitability by the United Nations and international relief groups.
Israel and the United States accuse the Hamas armed group of theft, while the United Nations denies that there is no systematic transformation. The United Nations says that the new system is unable to meet the installation needs and allows Israel to use aid as a weapon by identifying who can receive it and force people to move to the place of relief sites.

Experts warned earlier this year that Gaza was at a critical risk of famine if Israel did not raise its siege and stop its military campaign, which Israeli officials said would continue until all the hostages are returned, the defeat of Hamas, or its disarmament and sent to exile.
Hamas said it would only launch the hostile hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, a permanent ceasefire and an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza. Talks by the United States, Egypt and Qatar were blocked for several months.
In a separate development, the Israeli army accused a spokesman for the Civil Defense in Gaza being an active member of Hamas, according to the documents that he said had been recovered during operations inside Gaza.
The Associated Press was unable to independently verify the documents, which it claims to show that Mahmoud Basal joined Hamas in 2005. Basel did not immediately respond to the comment requests.
The Civil Defense are the first respondents to work under the Hamas government, which is run by Hamas and often reach the scenes of Israeli strikes.
Hamas began the war with its massive attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023, when Palestinian militants killed about 1,200 people, most of them civilians, and took 251 people hostage, according to the Israeli. They still carry 55 hostages, less than half of them alive, after most of the rest has been issued in the ceasefire agreements or other deals.
Israel has regained dozens of bodies, including three in recent days, and rescued eight hostages throughout the war.
Israel’s military campaign has killed more than 54,000 Palestinians, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza. She said that women and children are offering most of the dead, but they do not say the number of civilians or fighters who were killed. Israel says it has killed more than 20,000 militants, without providing evidence.
The war destroyed vast areas of Gaza and explained about 90 percent of its population. Almost approximately two million Palestinians depends on international aid because all the abilities of food production in Gaza have almost destroyed.
