A UK soldier was accused of raping a woman near a British army training camp in Kenya, where another soldier was previously accused of death.

The alleged rape occurred last month near the British Army Training Unit Kenya (Patock) near Nanioca, 200 km (125 miles) north of the capital, Nairobi.

The man was arrested and interrogated after the alleged accident after a group of soldiers visited the city.

Investigations are conducted by the UK Military Police from the Defense Crime Unit, which are looking for crimes claimed by British service employees in the United Kingdom and abroad.

The alleged rape, which included a British base in Kenya, follows previous allegations that a soldier stationed in Kenya was involved in the killing of a local woman in 2012.

The body of Agnes and Wangro, who was twenty -one -year -old and a mother of one, was found in the sewage tank near the Batok base three weeks after its disappearance, claiming that after spending the evening with British soldiers.

The Sunday Times reported in 2021 that a British soldier believed to have been responsible for killing.

Since then, the Ministry of Defense has been cooperating with a Kenyan investigation into the accident.

The Patok base was established in 1964 shortly after the East Africa State of Independence from the United Kingdom.

The British army has an agreement with Kenya, according to which it can deploy up to six army battalions annually for training periods on the site.

But the British army faced a series of allegations about the behavior of some UK members in the camp.

A general investigation established by Kenyan deputies last year I heard details of the alleged abuse of the local population By British soldiers.

These allegations, including an informed incident, claims that some British soldiers had carried local women before abandoning them and their children when they returned to the United Kingdom.
