Nasser and Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo said he has no plans to play in the club’s World Cup, starting from June 14 in the United States.

Cristiano Ronaldo says he is almost sure that he will not play in the club’s World Cup, as he deals with the hopes of FIFA President Gianni Infantino to get one of the largest soccer areas in the tournament.

The Portuguese star confirmed on Saturday that he received “a few offers” from the participating clubs to play with them in the championship starting from June 14, but he decided not to accept any of them.

Ronaldo said: “Some things are logical to talk about, other things no, and as someone says, you cannot participate in everything,” Ronaldo said.

“You have to think about the short, medium and long. It is a decision made on my part not going to the club’s World Cup, but I had a few invitations to go.”

Ronaldo was speaking in Munich a day before the Champions League final in Portugal against Spain.

The 40-year-old scored his 137th international goal in the 2-1 semi-final against Germany on Wednesday to reserve the Portugal place in the final.

“This is not relevant now,” Ronaldo said when he was first asked about the FIFA Club World Cup. “It is not logical to talk about anything other than the national team.”
