Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo angered the fans who love and adore him at Old Trafford.

The striker won three Premier League titles with Manchester United under the management of Sir Alex Ferguson and won the Ballon d’Or during his time with the Premier League giants.

His second spell did not end as he would have liked, as a falling out occurred between the player and Erik ten Hag at the club which eventually became the reason for his exit from Old Trafford.

The now legendary striker sparked a January move to Manchester United’s Premier League rivals Manchester City.

On Friday night, Ronaldo opened the doors to a move to Manchester City in January when asked about a potential move to Pep Guardiola’s side.

Manchester United fan favorites believe Man City will come back stronger from the current slump.

“Teams have moments.” Ronaldo said at the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony, according to what was reported Manchester Evening News.

“Difficult times, good times… City are going through a difficult moment but I am 100 per cent sure they will come back.

“I think the big teams and the big players are smart enough to understand the problem and where the problem lies. I’m 100 percent sure they will come back. Guardiola is a very smart coach. He knows where the problem is coming from. They will be there as always.”

The Portuguese was asked if he would offer a helping hand to Manchester City to get them out of their current crisis.

“You never know what’s going to happen” He replied with a smile.

Should Cristiano Ronaldo risk his legacy by moving to Manchester City?

It would be a big surprise to see Ronaldo move to Manchester City, and given that they already have Erling Haaland in attack, it will be difficult to fit the Portuguese into the team.

What Manchester City needs now is a midfield presence who can cover Rodri’s absence and someone at right-back who can be more reliable than Kyle Walker.

Signing a striker should not be a priority for Manchester City in the upcoming winter transfer window.

Ronaldo is well settled in Al Nasr and even he realizes that a move to City at this stage of his career would make no sense and would also make him a villain to Manchester United fans.
