Donald Trump said that Vladimir Putin was not ready for “peace” in Ukraine after a conversation that lasted for an hour on Wednesday, during which the Russian president warned against revenge against the Kiev drone attack on the fleet of his country’s bomber.

The US President said that the invitation with Putin was “good”, as it covers the fighting with Ukraine and the ongoing negotiations with Iran on its nuclear program, but added that it had not been a conversation that would lead to a breakthrough in peace talks with Kiev.

“President Putin said, very anxiously, he would have to respond to the recent attack on airports.”

Trump added: “We discussed the attack on the aircraft that Russia has established by Ukraine, as well as many other attacks that occurred by both sides,” Trump added. “It was a good conversation, but not a conversation will lead to an immediate peace.”

Putin told Trump that Ukraine tried to sabotage peace talks by attacking civil infrastructure, but Moscow did not “surrender to provoke,” said Yuri Ushakov, the foreign policy advisor of the Russian president.

The conversation between Trump and Putin, and the second between the two leaders in less than a month, came after the Russian President rejected Ukraine’s calls for the immediate shooting and the highest level to end Moscow’s extensive invasion of the country.

At a meeting in the televised cabinet earlier on Wednesday, Putin accused Ukraine of “organizing terrorist attacks” after a series of strikes behind the enemy lines, and his Ukrainian counterpart Fuludimir Zellinsky for peace.

“How can we have meetings like these under these circumstances? What should be talked about? Who has negotiations with terrorists?” Putin said.

Zelinski had rejected hours before Russia’s conditions for peace, saying that her demands were a “warning” would be the surrender of Ukraine.

Fencing data seems to leave low -level peace talks in which Türkiye and the United States were mediated, the first since the early weeks of the war in 2022 Russia Ukraine met in Istanbul for the second time on Monday.

The two sides found only a few common flooring that exceeds the agreement to hold prisoners ’exchanges, while the fighting may only intensify since the first round of the talks in May.

Moscow and Kayef exchanged the documents that set their conditions for the peace agreement on Monday, which indicated that they were staying apart at any time during the war.

The Moscow Memorandum determines difficult circumstances, including the demands of the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from several major cities and regions, and a ban on KYIV to join military alliances and lift all sanctions against Russia.

“This is not a note,” Zelesky said on Wednesday. “It is a warning that the Russian side is trying to impose on us.”

He added: “We are ready for prisoners exchanges, but I consider that it is not worthy of continuing diplomatic meetings in Istanbul that does not solve anything.”

Meanwhile, Putin blamed Ukraine in a series of railway bombings, which he said was “completely aimed at the series’s exit for the negotiation process” and accused Kiev of “deliberately targeting civilians.”

KYIV caused some of the worst damages to the war Russian military infrastructure During the weekend.

Ukrainian drones that were hidden in trucks during a 18 -month -old operation hit Russia on Sunday, which caused great damage to the capabilities of the strategic striker in Moscow.

At the cabinet meeting, Putin accused Ukraine of carrying out a series of railway bombings on the same day that at least seven passengers were killed and 73 were wounded.

Ukraine celebrated the airports, in addition to a separate bombing of Russia’s bridge to the occupied Crimea, which took place on Tuesday. He did not demand the responsibility of the railway bombings.

Putin said that Ukraine resorted to “terrorist attacks” because Russia maintained the upper hand in the battlefield.

“Why should we encourage them by giving them a break in the battlefield they will use to support their regime with Western weapons, continue forced mobilization, and draw more terrorist attacks?” He said.

Putin’s comments showed that Russia has no intention to announce an immediate ceasefire or a summit with Zelenskyy, two of the main demands of Ukraine in the talks on Monday.

Oshkov told the correspondents that a summit with Zelinski “was not on the practical agenda”, but he said that the talks in Istanbul were “useful”, adding that Moscow hoped to continue, according to the overseeing.

When reading Russia’s document on the conditions of peace at a press conference with journalists, Zelinski refused the demands that he described as almost advanced for those who were introduced by Moscow in the early stages of the war in 2022.

He called on the United States to hit Russia with new sanctions if it refuses to offer Ukraine to a summit and a ceasefire.

He said: “If there is no understanding of the desire to escalate or a clear vision to end the conflict, then the shooting will be stopped immediately and a unit on the side of the Russian side.”

Ukraine and Russia are planning to implement what Vladimir Midinski, head of the Moscow delegation in Istanbul, said it would be the biggest exchange of prisoners during the war at the end of this week, including up to 1,200 people from each side.

There is also a parallel exchange of 6000 remains of soldiers, although Medinsky refused to admit that the numbers of victims in Russia are high like Ukraine and Putin told Kiev “perhaps (he has) much less” to deliver it.
