At least three Palestinians killing In Gaza, after the Israeli army opened fire crowds of people who rushed to the aid distribution point established by a controversial organization supported by Israel and the United States.

The deadly accident in the southern city of Rafah left 46 wounded and seven missing, according to the authorities in Gaza.

The relief group behind the initiative, Gaza Humanitarian Corporation (GHF) This report denied, while the Israeli army said that its forces fired warning shots in the area outside the distribution site and that control was re -established.

The incident prompted criticism from the United Nations and relief groups, but Israel and the United States defended it.

Here’s a reaction round:

United Nations

Antonio Guterres, a spokesman for the Secretary -General of the United Nations, said the photos and videos of the first aid points created by GHF were “tragic, at least.”

“We and our partners have a detailed and principled plan supported by member states to obtain help for a desirable resident,” Stefan Dujarrik told reporters.

“Humanitarian aid must be distributed in a safe way within the framework of the principles of independence (and) neutrality – the way we have always done … We saw the plan they made (the Human Gaza Foundation) that they published, and that they presented us, and this was not done by the criteria that we feel that are appropriate for our principles, which we apply at all, from gas to sudan to Myanmar, to any place.

Palestine

The Government Information Office in Gaza condemned the actions of the Israeli army in Rafah.

The office said in a statement, “The occupation forces, which were placed in or around those areas, have opened the direct fire on the civilians who were hungry who were seduced in these locations under an excuse to receive assistance,” the office said in a statement.

“What happened today in his Rafah is a deliberate massacre and a complete war crime, committed in cold blood against civilians who weaken more than 90 days of hunger caused by the siege.”

The office added: “This incident provides an undeniable evidence of the failure of the complete Israeli profession in managing the humanitarian catastrophe that it intentionally created.”

Israel

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confessed to chaos on GHF, but he said that the turmoil was short.

He said: “We have developed a plan with our American friends to control the distribution sites, as an American company distributes food to Palestinian families.” “There was some loss of control for a moment. Fortunately, we returned it under control.”

He also claimed that there was no evidence of malnutrition in the Gaza Strip, saying: “You do not see one, no one (a person) from the beginning of the war to the present time.”

US

The US State Department also reduced the rush on the GHF website and rejected criticism of the aid program as “complaints about style”.

“Hamas has opposed this dynamic (aid). They tried to stop the aid movement across Gaza to these distribution centers, but they failed,” said Tami Bruce, a Foreign Ministry spokesman.

“In this type of environment, it is not surprising that there are a few issues concerned. But the good news is that those who seek help to the people of Gaza, and it is not Hamas, have succeeded.”

“The real story is that aid and food are widely moved to Gaza. We look at 8,000 boxes … this is a complex environment, and the story is the fact that it works.”

Gaza Humanitarian Corporation

“The needs of the floor are great. In one moment late in the afternoon, the size of the people in the (distribution site) was thus the GHF team retreated to allow a small number of Ghazan to help safely and dispel,” the group said in a statement.

The group has now returned to normal, adding that it has distributed approximately 8,000 food boxes, which it says will feed 5.5 people for 3.5 days, adding up to about 4,62,000 meals.

International refugees

Hardine Lang, Vice President of the Group for Politics and Programs, said the US -backed aid initiative by military, not humanity.

“This is not the way you are trying to feed the population, which is a much fewer population,” he said to Al -Jazeera, speaking from Washington, DC.

“This type of operation is required to prevent starvation, or stop it if it is already continuous, a large logistical process. It is not just food. You must be able to reach medical facilities, and access to severe malnutrition centers … which have not been determined in this plan.”

He added: “This has not been prepared to meet the needs of people. It seems as if it is designed to locate people in southern Gaza – to an area that was appointed by the Israelis as a” humanitarian area “, rather than trying to meet the needs of the very desperate population.”

Norwegian Refugee Council

Ahmed Bayram, NRC spokesperson, called on Israel and the United States to cancel their initiative and allow humanitarian organizations to work.

He said: “What we see is in fact a summary of the tragedy that the people of Gaza live.”

“This is not the way the aid is provided; this is not the way in which the aid should be distributed, not the least of which is an occupier that does so – a country destroyed Rafah and asks people to return to Rafah, which led to the removal of people from Rafah, and is now asking them to return and receive what they can get.”
