Police says that four victims are facing life -threatening injuries, indicating that the suspect may have suffered from a “psychological state.”

The authorities in Germany arrested a woman after at least 17 people were injured in a knife attack at the main train station in the northern city of Hamburg.

Emergency services said that at least four of the victims were wounded by life in a mass stabbing accident on Friday evening, which occurred in the mid -hour of the evening peak in the city.

A Hamburg police spokesman said the suspect, a 39 -year -old German woman, was arrested at the scene of the law.

“The officers approached” and allowed the woman to arrest themselves without resistance.

“We have no evidence yet that a woman may have a political motive,” said Abinsith.

“Instead, we have information, based on which we now want to investigate, whether it may have been suffering from a psychological emergency.”

Hamburg Police said in a post on X.

Pictures of the scene showed the possibility of platforms on the two ends of the station that was banned by the police and the people who are loaded in ambulances waiting.

Four platforms at the station were closed while investigations, and the Deutsche railway operator said that he was “severely shocked” with the attack. German Chancellor Friedrich Mirz also expressed his shock in a call with the mayor of Hamburg after the attack.
