On Monday, the Denmark government is seeking to increase the reporting of the investment in the energy of the marine winds, for aid of up to 55.2 billion kronor (8.3 billion dollars) with a new call for tenders.
“At the global level, there have been bumps on the way to finish the beach in recent years, which is why we also agreed that the state will provide a helping hand to projects if necessary,” said Lars Agard, Minister of Climate, Energy and Utilities, in the statement.
Denmark planned to build six wind farms in the North Sea, combined with a capacity of six GB.
By December 2024, the tenders invitation for the first three wind farms on the project failed to attract any offers.
The support package provided by the government on Monday aims to enhance interest in other three wind farms in the project.
With a joint capacity of three gigawatts, it will get more than wind energy production in Denmark in Denmark, which is currently 2.7 GB.
Denmark aims to increase its ability to produce wind energy to 14 GB by 2030.
