Leicester City has been referred to an independent committee by the Premier League due to the alleged violations of the rules of profitability and sustainability in the EFL for the 2023-24 season.

Foxes were deported to the championship, but a jurisdiction of this issue was transferred by the English Premier League court after Leicester’s upgrade in June 2024.

The Independent Committee will also evaluate two alleged violations – it has failed to provide accounts to the Premier League by December 31, 2024, and that they “did not provide” full, full and speed assistance to the Premier League in response to the league inquiries. “

However, they will not face penalties for possible violations of PSR systems in the 2022-23 season after the court ruled that the Premier League had no jurisdiction at that time.

Leicester’s statement concluded the following: “In line with its previous obligations, the club intends to coordinate in this matter now after the English Premier League has been created for the period ending in the 24th year.

“However, we will not be able to comment on these procedures until they are completed, because of their secret nature.”

The issue adds another layer of complexity to a summer that is likely to see the main disorders at the King Power Stadium.

It is scheduled to land that some of the highest club owners are transferred while Jimmy Vardy – which the club described as “the greatest player ever” – is giving emotional farewell during Sunday’s victory over Epswich.
