A helicopter plane crashed near Eura Airport in Eura, Finland

Local police said five people died after a civilian helicopter collided in the middle of the air in Finland.

Helicopters were shattered near Europe airport at approximately 12:00 local time (10:00 GMT), after they set out from the Estonian capital in Tallinn.

The authorities found the wreckage of helicopters in a wooded area. Police say that there are two people in one helicopter and three in the other.

They were on their way to a flight event at the Piikajärvi Air Center in Kokemäki, local media reported.

The plane was a foreign civilian helicopter. The accident is investigated by the police.

Finnish and Estonian officials said they were working with each other in the investigation.
