The judge of discontent spouses during the year 1989 murders

Los Angeles judge resented two brothers who are in a lifetime prison for 1989 murders for their parents at the Beverly Hills Palace, making them eligible for a conditional release.

Judge Michael Jessic Erik and Lille Mindez gave a new penalty for 50 years. A decision on their potential issuance will be taken in a conditional release session in June.

The couple confessed to killing Kitty and Jose Menendes, but he said they had acted with self -defense after years of abuse.

The representatives of the prosecution argued that the brothers planned to kill the guns to reach the wealth of their fathers, and they did not bear responsibility and they should not be released yet. The issue, which prompted books, documentaries and drama, still divides America.

After the judge agreed to discontent with them, the brothers made an emotional statement to the court. They went through the details of the brutal killings and their decision to re -download and continue to shoot their parents in the scope of the living room.

Both apologized for their actions and talked about their hopes of working with the victims of sexual assault and helping those who are pronounced if they were released.

“I had to stop selfish and immature to really understand what my parents went to in those last moments,” Eric Mendes told the court.

He describes “shock, confusion and betrayal” that should feel their children with weapons and open fire.

The voice of Lille Mindez cracked as he talks about the effect of his “incomprehensible” actions on his family.

He said to his family: “I lied to you and found you in the spotlight on the general humiliation.”

He said that they “cried with me and expressed their suffering” and it was “grateful for your love and your blow.”

Judge Jesseic described the work of the brothers during the prison “noticeable”, but he indicated that his original sentence was justified at the time.

He said, according to the guidelines, they were qualified to resent, and issued a new 50 -year penalty. The brothers have already served more than 30 years in prison.

Earlier, the court heard their relatives for the judge to allow the release of the brothers.

The cousin of the brotherhood, Anamaria Bart, who said she was close to them since they were children, told the judge that they deserve a “second chance in life.”

She said, “It was a nightmare.” “I am desperate to end this process.”

Mrs. Baral told the court that she was talking to the brothers repeatedly and testified that they had taken “ownership of their actions.”

She said that Lille Mindez admitted that he had asked a witness from lying at the testimony of their previous trial.
