A judge announced that the jury was unable to reach a ruling in the trial of the Michigan police officer who shot a fatal black man while the traffic stopped.

A second -class killing was charged with 26 -year -old Patrick Loya in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on April 4, 2022.

The killing of Mr. Loya, a Congolese immigrant, has sparked widespread protests and the issue of racial injustice and the police in the spotlight.

“This is painful. My family, my wife, we are bleeding.” “We will continue to fight until we get the true justice of Batrick.”

The trial is a partial victory for Mr. Shore, who may still face another trial.

The April 4 incident was arrested with graphic details and from multiple angles on the camera of the police agency and the dashboard camera, an eyewitness phone and a door -garden security system from a nearby house.

The footage of Mr. lyoya appears to flee from Mr. Schurr on foot after the traffic stops. The two men quarreled to the Sayyid Shor before he shoots Mr. Loya, who was face to face on the ground.

The quarrel was essential in the defense of Mr. Schurr, which he witnessed was in great fear because Taser could cause “painful pain” and injury.

“I thought if I don’t do it at that time, I will not go home,” said Mr. Shore.

Mr. Shore, an officer in the Grand Rapids Police Department for seven years, was expelled shortly after he was charged in 2022.

Patrick Loya came to the United States with his family from the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 2014. He lived in Grand Rapids for five years, according to the Benjamin Chromap Law Advocate Office, which represents the Loya family.

The wrong trial comes just one day after the acquittal of three former Memphis police officers from the killing of Nichols, a black man who was beaten during the traffic station in 2023.
