In his first speech, Thursday, Pope Liu XIV Talk about peace, build bridges and help people who suffer.
It seems that the topics of his speech indicate that he would have continued with his predecessor, Pope Francis, who thanked him the fourteenth in his statements.
Liu fourteenth stands on the balcony of Saint Peter with a large crowd in Saint Peter Square, and Liu fourteen spoke in Italian and Spanish. Here is a translation of his speech:
Peace be upon you all!
The dearest brothers and sisters, this is the first greeting of the existing Christ, the righteous shepherd who gave his life for the sake of God. I would also like to enter this greeting of peace in your peace, to reach your family, to all people, wherever they are, for all peoples, to the whole earth. Peace be upon you!
This is the rising peace of Christ, peace offending his weapon, peace of disarmament, humble and persistent. He comes from God, God who loves all of us without restriction or condition. We still stay in our ear weak, but always the voice of Pope Francis Baraka Rome.
The Pope who blessed Rome gave his blessing to the world, to the whole world, on the morning of Easter. Let me follow the same blessing: God loves us, and God loves you all, and evil will not prevail! We are all in the hands of God. Therefore, without fear, he unites side by side with God and among ourselves, let’s move forward. We are the disciples of Christ. Christ precedes us. The world needs its light. Humanity needs it as a bridge for God and his love to reach. We also helped us, then each other to build bridges, with dialogue, with the meeting, unifying us all to be one people always in peace. Thank you Pope Francis!
I would also like to thank all the Cardinals, my brother who chose me to be a successor to Peter and to walk with you, as a unified church that always seeks peace and justice, and always trying to work as loyal men and women to Jesus Christ, without fear, to announce the Bible, to be missionaries.
I am the son of Saint Augustine, and he is Augustine. He said: “With you, I am a Christian and you are bishops.” In this sense, we can all walk together towards the homeland that God has prepared for us.
To the Church of Rome, a special greeting. Together, we must search for how to be a missionary church, a church that builds bridges and dialogue, is always open to receive it, such a square, with open arms. All of this, all those who need our charitable institution, our existence, our dialogue and our love.
And if you would allow me a word, a greeting to everyone, especially for the diocese of Czechlu, in Peru, where a loyal person accompanied their bishop, shared their faith and gave a lot, a lot to be a sincere church for Jesus Christ.
For all of you, brothers and sisters of Rome, from Italy, in the entire world, we want to be a church of Senodalism, a church walking, a church that always strives for peace, which always seeks charity, which always tries to be close to those who suffer.
Today is the day of supplication for Mrs. Pompei. Our mother Mary always wants to walk with us, be close, and helped us in her intercession and love.
So I would like to pray with you. Let’s pray together for this new task, for the entire church, for peace in the world and let us ask this special blessing of Mary, our mother.
