Reports come after the US president disturbed the announcement of an agreement with an unveiled country.

US President Donald Trump is scheduled to announce a trade agreement with the United Kingdom on Thursday, according to the American media, in what will be the first such agreement since he raised its comprehensive definition.

Reports come after Trump on Wednesday sparked an agreement with a country whose name is not revealed on social media.

“A major press conference tomorrow morning at 10:00 am, the Oval Office, with regard to a major commercial deal with representatives of a large and very respectable country,” Trump said on a position on the truth platform. “The first of many !!!”

The New York Times, which reported the news alongside the Wall Street Journal, Politico CNN, said it is not clear whether the agreement has been completed.

Investors were eagerly awaiting signs of Trump’s commercial war, amid fears that the lengthy uncertainty of the customs tariff may cause severe damage to the global economy.

Last month, the International Monetary Fund reduced its global growth expectations for a period of 2025 from 3.3 percent to 2.8 percent in Trump’s trade.

Tuesday, American and Chinese officials confirmed that they will bring the first round of commercial talks in Switzerland this weekendWhich raises the hopes of a boom in the mutual trade ban between the world’s largest economists.

The UK was rescued from the “mutual” Trump tariff that was announced against dozens of countries last month, but its exports are subject to the “basic line” of 10 percent since April 9.

The United States and the United Kingdom achieved 314.6 billion pounds (419 billion dollars) of trade in goods and services in 2024, an increase of 3.9 percent over the previous year, according to the Ministry of Business and Trade in the United Kingdom.

UK Prime Minister Kiir Starmer announced earlier this week the completion of a “teacher” trade agreement with India, which he said would add 4.8 billion pounds (6.4 billion dollars) annually to the economy.
