Waymo expands a self -driving fleet with a new American manufacturing facility

Self -driving technology company And emo Advertise Monday It greatly expands the operations of its independent vehicles in the United States with the opening of a new manufacturing facility in Maysa, ARIS.

Waymo currently runs more than 1500 independent cars in Phoenix, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Austin, Texas, and has completed more than 250,000 paid trips per week. With the new mesa facility, the company plans to add 2000 other vehicles to its fleet by 2026, and expanded to cities such as Atlanta, Miami and Washington, DC.

This 239,000 square feet factory, which was developed in partnership with Magna, will modify the Jaguar I-Pace with an independent driving technology of the sixth generation of Waymo, known as The Waymo Driver. This facility is expected to produce thousands of vehicles annually, which rushes the Waymo mission to provide fully governmental horseback services in cities throughout the country.

The Mesa facility also provides simplified operations that enable vehicles to be ready to serve passengers shortly after production. For example, the vehicles intended for the Phoenix fleet can start capturing passengers within 30 minutes of leaving the factory.

“The driver integration factory in Waymo in Mesa is the center of our future growth plans,” said Ryan McKina, Vice President of Operations in Wimo. “With our Magna partners, we opened a manufacturing site that enables cost efficiency, flexibility and ability to expand our fleet to new horizons.”
