The Israeli Council of Ministers agreed to expand the Gaza attack

The Israeli government has agreed to plans to escalate its attack in Gaza, including the potential reshaping of the broken Palestinian pocket.

On Monday, Prime Minister Netanyahu’s decision will follow the decision of the Prime Minister on Monday for nearly nineteen months of war, which has so far failed to completely defeat Hamas or secure the launch of all the remaining Israeli hostages.

Netanyahu said that the army has put a “good plan” that would finally achieve the goals of the Israeli war.

An Israeli official said that the new operation will witness extensive attacks throughout Gaza, as Israeli forces held deep lands inside the tape. This will include the potential restoration of the entire pocket, the forced evacuation of the Palestinian population south again, and the denial of Hamas’s control of the supply of humanitarian aid.

The Israeli Cabinet also officially approved the implementation of a new controversial system to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza – “if necessary,” according to the Israeli official.

Israel resumed its attack in Gaza in March after breaking the ceasefire for two months, as its forces again seized the areas of the south and north of the region.

Since then, Israel has cut food, fuel, medicine and aid supplies to the Gaza population 2.1 million, which has exacerbated hunger and malnutrition in the region, and paid fruits and vegetables to very high levels in the few places that can still be obtained.

However, the right-wing ministers of the ruling Netanyahu alliance on its parliamentary majority were demanding a much larger operation in the shattered lands, where Hamas still holds 59 Israeli hostages-at least half of them believed to be alive.

During the weekend, the Israeli army began calling thousands of reserve soldiers, although analysts said they did not expect the expanded attack to start until after US President Donald Trump’s trip next week to various Gulf countries.
