Thirteen mine workers were found in a mine in Peru after being kidnapped several days ago.

They were working in a gold mine owned by Poderosa Poderosa, which is based in Bataz Province, north of the capital, Lima.

The victims were sent to confront a group of people involved in illegal mining in the region, but was kidnapped by a criminal gang that was trying to control the mine.

The gang kept them as hostages inside a mine shaft. For a week, they sent threat messages to the relatives of mines.

There has been a rise in criminals who attack mines in the country in the past few years.

On Friday, the company – which employs 8,000 people – issued a statement saying that he was disappointed that the police did not do enough to prevent illegal mining.

The company said: “The violence climate is still rising in the area,” the company said.

The news site in Peru Derio Corio reported that a video clip spread on social media – which was allegedly recorded by the kidnappers – showed that miners had been executed in the void.

It is not clear what led them to kill the group.

Since 2020, illegal mining has acquired many mines run by Bodrosa, forcing them to abandon some operations and “putting the material safety for our employees and professional miners at risk,” the company said.

In March, criminals who work alongside illegal miners were attacked near La Ciénaga Ravine in the Bataz area of the mine, killing two people.

In the same month, the company also said that illegal miners had detonated a high -voltage tower that provides energy for mines and tried to “invade” many mine sites. Bodrosa said that the police and the army were unable to control, and called on the government to restore the regime.

The company said that illegal mining and organized crime were able to work with “escaping from absolute punishment.”

Peru is one of the largest gold producers in the world, with more than 100 tons annually – or about 4 % of the annual offer in the entire world.
