United Kingdom to combat terrorism police arrested Iranian citizens in raids throughout England

The Metropolitan police in London said on Sunday morning that British anti -terrorist officers arrested eight men, including seven Iranian citizens, regarding two alleged separate plots.

Police said that one of the alleged plots was a planned attack on an unlimited position.

Evit Cooper, Minister of the Interior, said the arrests were “serious events that clarify the continuous condition of adapting our response to national security threats.”

She added: “The government continues to work with police and intelligence agencies to support all assessments necessary procedures and security to maintain the safety of the country.”

Metropolitan police said that five of the men were detained throughout England on Saturday, on the suspicion of preparing a terrorist act against a “specific hypothesis.”

The dead said that four of these individuals were Iranian citizens, while the fifth nationality was still in preparation.

In another anti -terrorism operation on the same day, three other Iranian citizens were arrested in London, Mitt said in a separate statement.

The espionage chief said at the time that the MI5 had seen Iran launching “a conspiracy after a plot … on an unprecedented scale.”

MET said that the first operation included five arrests in Swindon, West London, Conocort, Rothsdale and Manchester with the support of anti -terrorist officers, the Greater Manchester Police and the Wiltsher Police.

“As part of the investigation, the officers are also conducting searches on a number of titles in the Manchester, London and Greater regions regarding this investigation,” he said.

Mitt said that police officers were in contact with the “affected site” to provide related advice and support.

Commander Dominic Murphy, the head of terrorism at Met Counter, urged the public to “stay awake” and pass any relevant information they may see or hear.

“This is a quick -motion investigation and we are working closely with those in the affected site to keep them updated,” he said.

“The investigation is still in its early stages, and we explore the various investigation lines to determine any potential motivation as well as to determine whether there is any other danger to the public associated with this issue.”

In the second operation, MET said that continuous searches in the three titles. Mit said that this investigation has nothing to do with the five men’s arrests.

The police did not reveal the details of the suspected plot, noting operational reasons.
