A man accused of the crime of terrorism after trying to enter the Israeli embassy in London

Police said on Wednesday that a man was charged with a terrorist crime in London after he tried to enter the Israeli armed embassy with a knife.

The Metropolitan police, who is responsible for law enforcement in London, said that Abdullah Sabah Al -Badri, 33, was arrested after he was seen “in an attempt to reach unauthorized” to the embassy land before 6 pm local time on Monday.

“The officers prevented the man from entering and arrested him on suspicion of committing a crime from public order, assaulting a specific site and possessing an offensive weapon,” the police force said in a statement.

“He was transferred to the London Police Station, and after more investigations, he was arrested on suspicion of committing a crime that violates Article 5 of the Terrorism Law 2006.”

The charge is used against people accused of preparing or attempting to attack terrorism.

The statement added that Mr. Albadri, because there was no fixed address, was accused of two charges of possessing a tasted article. She said that Mr. Albadri was being held in the reservation before a hearing of the court scheduled later on Wednesday.

Dominic Murphy, head of the terrorist command in the Metropolitan police, said that the police are not seeking anyone else regarding the incident and that they do not believe that there is “any broader threat to the public.”

The Israeli embassy, ​​in the Kinsington neighborhood, has narrow security measures.

In a statement, the embassy thanked the police for preventing what he described as a “terrorist attack.”

The statement added: “We felt comfortable to report that this attack was prevented by the British security forces and that no injuries occurred and that all embassy employees and visitors are safe.”
