Virtual game cards are the new Nintendo method to share Switch numbers games

Until Tuesday, if you want to share a digital version of Nintendo Switch with a friend, it wasn’t easy – you had to set one as a main key and the other secondary. The main downside here was that only the main user can run the joint game when it is connected to the Internet, and the secondary always needs to connect to the Internet to play.

But now Nintendo has a new system for lending digital games. Participated programs are now represented by virtual game cards, which reduce some of these troubles by sharing full access to the game with the new user. The update will be given to the new Switch program for users, the new virtual game cards icon in their home menu. From there you can select the game (or DLC) that you want to share.

You have two options for how to share the game. The first is downloading on another system, which requires connecting the second key with your main system. This basic/secondary system is similar to that you had to set up your Nintendo account on both devices to participate between them.

The second option is to lend to a family group member and uses the family group that you may have prepared with the Nintendo Switch family plan online. To do this, you need to make two keyboards near to connect them.

There are some important restrictions that must be taken into account when using the Lind to Family Group option. The first is that virtual game cards can be borrowed for up to 14 days, after which they will be returned automatically to the lending system. This also means that the original system will not be able to reach that/DLC game during a loan. Finally, players can lend only one game card per borrower, up to three borrowers at one time, and the borrower can borrow only one game card at one time. So you cannot fill your key with borrowed games from your family members.

It remains to see how useful this system will be compared to the previous version. Although this allows to play borrowed games in a non -connection mode, unlike before, it also prevents many people from each of them playing a copy of the same game at the same time. Nintendo seems ready for its SWITCH 2 control device by eventually by adding more powerful game sharing functions.
