David Calic, one of the people who signed the message, said in an interview, that he did so because “I am really concerned about the due legal procedures and” other protection “in our constitution that is allocated through the president’s actions.”
“There are people inside the administration and without who should know better,” said Calick, the director of the Immigration Research Initiative, a research tank.
Calick, who did not know Pesin at Yale University, said the risks of Trump’s actions so far are “very real.”
“I think we see some of the measures that are starkly authoritarian, or, I must say, blatant tyranny, and I do not know to what extent can that go,” he said. “If people like us and (bessent) do not stand and say,” enough, “There is a real danger … from slipping to an authoritarian government.”
Teegarden, the graduate who organized the message, was also not known in Yale, but said that a number of people refused to sign the message “because they were concerned about how this affected their lives.”
“Many people are afraid of putting their name there because of revenge,” said Tigarden.
She said that others asked her why the message was not invited to resign.
“For me, this does not really solve the problem,” Tigarden said. “We need a rational person, who will speak, to be the voice of this mind.”
She hoped to make the Bessent message consider his role in the Trump administration, and retract what it deems violations of constitutional and institutional standards.
“Why is he selling? This was a kind of thinking about this,” said Tigarden.
“It is really about not legitimizing everything. It should be known better.”
“I do not know Scott personally, but I am ready to bet he does not want to live in Autocrate,” said Hank Kobland, another Yale graduate who signed.
“He knows that tyranny suffocates human rights and closes the tender and this takes improved life and makes life interesting and made a dynamic economy,” said Koblland, a resident of Indianapolis who runs a small technical company. “Ultimately, solid societies are from top to bottom impotence and failure.”
When he was asked what he wanted to achieve the message, “On the one hand, we are zero in a hurricane, and some classmates indicate their inability as a reason for not signing.”
“On the other hand, many of the important works in life are purely symbolic – the exchange of rings, the flying of science, or a funeral,” he said.
“We are doing these symbolic things to remind ourselves and others what we care about.”

As a pioneer in political science, you know that the three branches of the United States government aim to work as equal partners, and to provide checks and balances on each other to prevent the type of power that is committed at the present time.
Many examples. During the past three months, the Trump administration has sought strongly through executive orders and other means to rape the chosen authority in the judicial and legislative branches so that they can act without control, not for the benefit of the American people, but for their personal thinking, wealth and power. Many of their actions are unconstitutional and undermine the principles of our democracy, including:
- The cancellation and the money that has already approved and allocated by Congress;
- Dismantling the main federal agencies that serve, inform and protect the public;
- ELON Musk Grant and I faced unlimited access and almost unlimited the special data of millions of American citizens, safe financial systems in the country, the authority to employ federal workers and shoot at each agency, including agencies that organize his own business;
- Remove the general inspectors and other fraud and corruption screens throughout the government;
- Punitive attacks on independent media, universities, citizens, judges and other government employees just because they disagree with the administration;
- Increased global alliances that strengthened America’s interests all over the world for decades;
- Illegal seizure and imprisonment of people in a violation of our immigration laws and the legal procedures required by our constitution;
- Enriching their personal financial resources through flagrant conflicts of interests, such as the MEME currencies of Trumps and the accounts of the media and technology group in Trump, which are preparing to participate in making strange tariff decisions in management; and,
- Raising a global economic crisis through irregular and irrational tariff policies and self -destructive commercial wars.
Although the global economic chaos caused by this administration may have led to the highest alarm bells, the illegal method in which they manages official works at home must be worrying to you as minister of the Treasury Department.
