Once again in 2020and Xayn AI’s starting on the device depended on privacy, specially designed for smartphones. But that early experience in the end saw the company a focus in developing sovereign artificial intelligence for the legal field. Now XayN has been renamed as Noxtua and the B 92.2 million series (about 81.2 million euros) collected B.

The tour was led by the strategic investor, a network, the pioneering legal publisher in Germany. For context, CH BECK effectively has the warehouse of all legal issues and provisions in Germany, giving it a unique position. The idea is that Noxtua will work to access the entire legal news corps of the new legal product called the new artificial intelligence product BECK-NOXTUA.

The new investors include North Data Group, the largest business firm in Germany CMS, and the International Lawyer Dentons. Among former and current investors are Global Brain, Kddi Open Innovation Fund and Dominik Schienter.

Adding northern data is not a coincidence. Beck-Nixtua will work as the sovereign Amnesty International on the cloud infrastructure of that company, which was received inside Germany.

NOXTUA claims that very specialized artificial intelligence can search for legal matters and analyze legal documents and their loyalties, all of which are legally compatible for customers, including those who take it in Germany. This is important because the legal compliance bar in Germany is very high, which makes the CH Beck training data very crucial for accuracy. It includes 55 million documents-the largest legal database in the German-speaking world.

With political geography on the idea of operating artificial intelligence models in Germany on the US -based infrastructure, Noxtua has signed a hosting partnership with Northern Data, which is based in Frankfurt.

Dr. Lev Nissan Longbick, CEO and co -founder of Noxtua, Techcrunch on a call that Noxtua uses its own version of the AI Transformer model, but one was specifically trained in legal contracts. He said: “We have already put it on many law firms and legal departments and participated in partnership with CH Beck,” (which is) Thompson Reuters for Law “in Germany.”

Lundbæk said that noxtua had to take this path because the US -based foundational models are based on American data, UK data and contracts partially.

“This is completely different in countries such as Germany or France,” he added. “These models really fail in accuracy. In addition, government services are mainly legal, right? So you cannot use the American AI model in a German legal context.”

Noxtua technology has been developed from the research conducted by the founders at Oxford University and the Imperial College in London, and was later developed with CMS.

In a statement, Professor Dr. Klaus Weber, a member of the CEO CH BECK, said: “The vision of the European sovereign artificial intelligence agency is compatible along with our values … Noxtua is the cornerstone of our innovation strategy.”
