“Allow the speed of work is slower, flexible schedules”: The Ministry of Labor writes to the states to protect workers against the thermal wave

With almost high temperatures throughout the country, the Ministry of Labor and Employment wrote to the states and trade union regions that require them to take urgent steps to protect workers and workers from the conditions of the severe hot wave.

In a letter to the Secretary of Trustees and officials in all states and union regions, the Ministry of Labor advised the Union to issue directives for employers, occupiers, industries and construction companies to implement effective measures to reduce the thermal wave of workers.

“The recommended message for a multi -sectors coordinator approach narrates different steps, including reschedule working hours, ensuring adequate drinking water facilities, ventilation and cooling workplaces, comfort spaces, conducting regular health examinations for workers and providing emergency ice bundles and heat disease prevention materials,” said an official edition on Tuesday.

The Ministry of Labor also advised to issue instructions to manage mines and factories to allow a slower pace than work, flexible timelines, two people during the intense heat, and appropriate ventilation in underground mines.

“In addition to factories and mines, he stressed the payment of special attention to construction and workers in the oven of bricks and the need to spread wide -ranging information for workers about ways to protect themselves from severe thermal conditions through awareness camps, posters and banners in the Labor Party.”

Hospitals and dispensaries were also asked according to DGLW and ESIC, to establish dedicated offices to care for thermal stroke cases, ensure sufficient supply of ORS, ice packs and other heat prevention materials.
