Defense champion Kirin Wilson has come out of the World Championship
The defense of the Kyren Wilson title ended after it was surprised by the Chinese Lei PeIFAN on the opening day of the Snooker World 2025.
Wilson made the progress 6-3 after the first session, but when the players returned in the second session, Lei won six consecutive tires to put himself on the brink of victory.
Despite his late return from Wilson, who is forcing a decisive framework, Lei kept his nerves to reserve his place in the second round by winning 10-9.
This means that “Crucible Curse” from Snooker lasts for another year as the world champion has not kept her title since the championship moved to Sheffield in 1977.

Wilson came to the championship as one of the favorite candidates after winning four events this season, more than any other player.
The 33 -year -old is the sixth champion for the first time in the first round of defending the title after Steve Davis, Denis Taylor, Guard Dot, Nile Robertson and Luka Prixel.
