5 harm after the soldier opens fire at the base of the Georgia Army

Five American soldiers were wounded after an army sergeant opened fire at a military base in the US state of Georgia before other forces treated them.

Officials say the soldier, who was identified as Queenius Radford, opened fire with his personal pistol, and was targeting his fellow forces.

The attack in Fort Stewart, about 240 miles (386 km), southeast of Atlanta, led to insurance at the sprawling army base.

All the five soldiers who were shot are treated due to their injuries while they are in a stable condition, according to General Brigadier John Lubas, the commander -in -chief of the third infantry squad.

Speaking to reporters, General Lubas confirmed that the alleged striker was an active soldier, and that he had not previously deployed in the fighting area.

He also thanked the “brave soldiers” who intervened and subjected the shooter, adding that they were “undoubtedly” prevented more harm.

He said that “immediately and without hesitation,” they dealt with the suspect and gave it, which allowed the police to take it in the reservation.

General Lubas said Sergeant Radford, which is part of the second fighting team, was in prison before the trial.

He was interviewed by the criminal investigators in the army, and no motive has been revealed yet. General Lubas said he was previously arrested by the local police for his leadership under influence – a fact that was not known to the American army before the attack.

He said that three of the soldiers who were shot had undergone surgery.

The pistol used in the attack was not a military export, and officials investigate how it was able to bring it to the base.

Law enforcement was alerted to shoot at 10:56 US ES (15:56 GMT) and the armed arrest was arrested after 39 minutes at 11:35 US time.

The joint video on social media showed military personnel sitting from the scene.

The Burger King’s director, working in a restaurant at the BBC News, described how employees hid in a safe room after the closure was announced.

Hidden in the sealed room designed to isolate it from the outside world, the group watched social media for updates.

The restaurant director said: “I pulled them to the room until they did not hear anything,” said the restaurant director.

“They knew he was the active shooter, but they did not know exactly where.”

When it was safe to appear, their phones began to explode with calls from anxious family members.

Outside, a group of customers was formed at the door. Some people reside in their cars on the driving waiting list during the ordeal.

“I was not worried about food, I was worried about my energy,” she says. “It is my job to maintain its safety.”

President Donald Trump, speaking in an unrelated event at the White House, said that the army investigators would guarantee the attacker properly.

Trump said: “The perpetrator of this horror – and this is exactly what is, is terrible, will be tried to the full limit of the law.”

“We will not forget what happened,” he added.

Georgia Governor Brian Keteb asked the population to pray for the victims.

He said, “We keep the victims and their families and all those who answer the invitation to serve in our hearts and prayers, and we ask the Georgians everywhere to do the same.”

About 280,00 acres, Fort Stewart is the largest American army base east of the Mississippi River, a home of approximately 10,000 people.

It is located in Henzville, a town in the form of about 40 miles (64 km) southwest of Safana.
