As the name suggests, it follows an apocalypse survivor named Phil Miller (Will Forte) is convinced that he is the only person left alive after a virus wipes out the US population – until he meets another survivor, Carol (Christine Schaal). Unfortunately, Phil and Carol can’t stand each other – but with the human race on the verge of extinction, does it really matter?

funny and smart, The last man on earth is a post-apocalyptic comedy that combines satire with heart — and also marries two people who hate each other so they can rebuild the Earth. It’s a surprisingly sharp, poignant satire that balances silliness with humanity, making it one of the most inventive and thoughtful comedies of the 2000s.

Baskets Was this FX show really a comedy if it pressured you as much as it made you laugh? thing well before Bear – but she never received the accolades and attention that the latter did. Maybe it’s because the premise is a little less exciting: Zach Galifianakis He plays Chip Baskets, a classically trained clown who can only find work as a rodeo clown in his hometown of Bakersfield, California. He also plays Chip’s twin brother, Dale, dean and founder of a local vocational college.

The brothers have very different approaches and attitudes toward small-town life, and the sibling rivalry provides a surprising amount of emotional depth. But the series’ secret weapon is the late comedian Louie Andersonwho won an Emmy for his performance as Christine Baskets, Chip and Dale’s loving but overbearing mother.

Baskets It is a rare kind of show – strange, sad and endlessly human. It’s one of those hidden gems that you’ll be glad you finally found.
