The Kansas City Chiefs star, a three-time Super Bowl MVP, missed out on a spot on the AFC roster after being included every year since he became Arrowhead’s starter in his second season.
However, tight end Travis Kelce earned his 10th Pro Bowl selection as one of five Chiefs players to make the cut along with defensive lineman Chris Jones and interior offensive linemen Joe Thuney, Trey Smith and Creed Humphrey.
Mahomes, statistically, suffered one of the worst campaigns of his glittering career as he threw for 3,928 yards, 26 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. However, the Chiefs are still gunning for a historic third straight Super Bowl title after clinching the top seed in the AFC as they enter the final weekend of the regular season at 15-1.
