Two Israelis were killed on Thursday in what the Israeli army described as a “terrorist attack” at the Alnebi crossing, the only gateway to the Palestinians from the West Bank occupied by the Israeli to Jordan.

The Israeli ambulance service said that the two men surrendered to their wounds, while the shooter was killed by the security forces.

The Israeli army later said that it was killed by a “terrorist” at the scene of the accident, which arrived at a truck that transported humanitarian aid from Jordan and opened fire.

The spokesman for the Jordan government said that the authorities were following the incident.

No group has demanded responsibility. Earlier this month, the Palestinian armed group Hamas claimed responsibility for shooting the outskirts of Jerusalem, which killed six people.

Jordan later said that the Alnebi Bridge, a decisive crossing of trade between Jordan and Israel, was closed from the Israeli side.

In September 2024, an armed from Jordan was killed by three Israelis at the Alnebi crossing before the security forces were killed, an attack that closed the crossing for two days.
