Scarlett Vickers’ mother, Sarah Hall, reportedly told authorities that the father and daughter were “messing around” in the kitchen. Amid the ordeal, Hall said Simon “didn’t realize” he had “thrown something” at Scarlett.

Once paramedics arrived, Simon reportedly claimed Scarlett “lunged” at him. In addition, the couple alleged that Simon picked up a spoon, not realizing she “had the knife on her” and threw it at Scarlett.

“We were making tea, we were playing and we started throwing things at each other,” Simon reportedly told authorities.

In addition, he revealed that he and his family were “drunk” after watching football.

“It wasn’t difficult, it was nothing, I don’t understand,” Simon reportedly told police.

Scarlett reportedly died at 11:50pm that evening. Furthermore, the 14-year-old girl was found on the kitchen floor of her home with an 11cm deep stab wound to her chest.

Simon Vickers is now reportedly on trial and has pleaded not guilty to murder and manslaughter charges.
