Hello friends! Happy Friday! How was the week? I hope it’s amazing. Our trip started in Orlando and ended up at TUS with a sick pilot, and me fumbling around. This weekend, I’m looking forward to the symphony, time with friends, hiking, and a trip to Phoenix for my first Liv Dance Competition of the season.

(Soup season! I just put a load of vegetables, broth, herbs, and beans in the Instant Pot and top with lemon juice and avocado.)

I hope you have a lovely weekend too!

Disney World Adventures:

Disney was perfect as always. We arrived late Friday night and got some sleep before heading to the Magic Kingdom on Saturday. We spent the day doing all the excursions and had lunch at Be Our Guest. This is one of our staples, but the food was especially amazing during this trip.

(I also had gf rolls and french onion soup which they made without the croutons)

I mentioned to the server that I was my friend – she asked if there were allergies at the table and I said I didn’t have an allergy but that I avoid it for health reasons – and she brought a lot of gluten free food!

I have to admit it We were blown away by the food on a recent Disney tripThe food in the parks this time was much better. Everything was fresh and delicious, and it was very easy to find gluten-free, protein-free, and veggie options among the usual Disney chain popcorn and desserts. 😉

We entered the park at 11 and had a long, enjoyable lunch, but we still managed to do 15 tourist activities and closed the park.

It was our first time on Tron and it was a lot of fun.

On Sunday it was raining a little and they expected thunderstorms all day.

We wore ponchos (we always buy them on Amazon, they’re $15 at the parks), and I also brought a shoes abayas, Which ended up saving the day!! We were completely dry and no one had wet feet. 😉

The good news is that the rain slowed down, there were no thunderstorms, and we were able to do all the rides and attractions. I have a weird fear of dinosaurs – I think it’s because they were real at one point, but they really scare me – and my family convinced me to get over my fear and go on a dinosaur ride.

It went really well.

The Avatar rides were a much-needed taste cleanser – the ride through is epic every time.

We watched the Lion King show (very good) and had lunch at Satu’li Canteen.

(Chicken, sweet potatoes, slaw and chimichurri sauce)

We finished the evening at Disney Springs and woke up early for our flight on Monday morning!

It was a quick trip, but it was great and the perfect way to celebrate Lev’s 13th birthday.

Here are some of our favorite finds from the week:

1.24 Friday Favorites

Fashion + Beauty + Random:

Takernock sale! There are so many amazing finds in this sale, but I had some restraint and ordered three dresses:

This is a classic dress that you can dress up or down

Excited to wear this dress With white sneakers

and This pink shirt

I love everything Veronica Beard now.

Read, watch, listen:

Read this book and feel inspired.

When there is misery, the soul cries out for food.

my friend Julie Mention the offer Younger Today too, and I just discovered and fell in love with it over the past week. It was featured on Recommended for You on Netflix and I had no idea it was an old show – I thought it was brand new. I thought to myself, “Wow, between this and Hugh Jackman, Sutton Foster is having a great moment right now.” It’s clever, fun and romantic, and I enjoyed it while cruising around on my walking platform.

Fitness, health, life and good eating:

New toothpaste! I’ve been following doctor. for and doctor. Stop On Instagram for a while, so I was excited to try their brand. It’s *very* sweet but I like the ingredients and it seems to be doing a good job so far. If you’re looking for a cleaner toothpaste option, check it out! I tried it last night and loved it.

I ordered a can of this hydrogen water, and although the taste is great, the shipping was terrible. It took a long time to ship, and half the boxes were dented, so I have mixed feelings about this.

Salted chocolate pudding…oh my

Thank you so much for visiting the blog today! Have a great weekend and I’ll see you soon!

xoxo

Jenna
