Tribes from Nagalland state in northeastern India held talks at the Beit Rivers Museum at Oxford University to secure the return of the ancestral residues that were taken during the colonial era. “Awards”, such as skulls and other body parts, have been shown in the museum for decades. The call for their return comes amid increasing demands for the remains of the indigenous, stolen population, as well as the looted art, to return it to their societies.
